Mogambo (Amrish Puri) is the evil underworld don who has ambitions to rule India. Arun (Anil Kapoor) and his cook, Calendar, who shelter a lot of orphans and are perpetually in need of money. They take in Seema (Sridevi), as a paying guest in order to get some income. She is a journalist and hates children.

Mogambo wants the house that they live in for his own evil purposes. He tries different measures to evict them including cutting off their food supply. Just as things begin to look bleak, Arun discovers a wristband left to him by his scientist father, which can make the wearer invisible.

With this new weapon, Arun takes on the persona of Mr India, with whom Seema falls in love and together they take on the task of destroying Mogambo.
