Ajit, a mill-hand, dreams of getting his siter married away to a respectable young man. When his boss attempt to rape the young girl, Ajit kills him and is imprisoned. When he escapes from prison and the police in a bid to save his sister, he meets a rich scion, Anupama, and learns an important lesson in life. He dedicates his life to the cause of others.

His journey lead him to a village where he becomes the messiah for mill workers struggeling against the mill-owner. Coincidentally, Anupama sides with him against her mill-owner grandfather. However the villians raise questions about this stranger-messiah. The police are hot on his heels even as he tries to rescue the mill-workers.
